Please give me back mine.”\n“But didn’t I ask you if you were sure?\nI won’t give it back.”\nThen that wanderer complained and criticized him,\n“Even householders give back to each other when they regret a trade.\nHow, then, can a monastic not do the same?”\nThe monks heard the complaints of that wanderer,\nand the monks of few desires complained and criticized Upananda,\n“How could Venerable Upananda barter with a wanderer?”\nAfter rebuking him in many ways, they told the Buddha.
